FRONT SPOILER/SPLITTER

Front spoilers and splitters are aerodynamic components designed to improve a vehicle’s performance and appearance by managing airflow around the front end. A front splitter is a horizontal extension mounted beneath the front bumper that creates a high-pressure zone above and a low-pressure zone below, generating downforce to increase grip and stability at speed. In contrast, a front spoiler—often integrated into the bumper or valance—redirects airflow around the vehicle to reduce lift and drag, enhancing fuel efficiency and handling. While both serve aerodynamic purposes, splitters are more performance-focused, especially in motorsports, whereas spoilers may prioritize styling and moderate airflow control. These parts are commonly made from carbon fiber, ABS plastic, polyurethane, or fiberglass, chosen for their lightweight, durability, and resistance to impact.
